Job summary

UNIDO is seeking a Country Representative for Pakistan to lead the UNIDO Country Office, oversee programmatic delivery, and ensure alignment with national development priorities. The role requires strong leadership, fundraising and strategic partnership capabilities, and experience with RBM and results-based management across UN programs.

Qualifications

• Education at first level: bachelor’s in economics, business, international relations, public admin or related field.
• Advanced degree (master/doctorate) accepted with reduced experience requirement.
• Fluency in English and Urdu required; knowledge of other UN official languages desirable.

Responsibilities

• Represent UNIDO in the host country to promote the Organization and maintain contacts with stakeholders.
• Lead CO activities and contribute to national development goals and donor priorities.
• Identify development needs and support resource mobilization and alignment with national priorities.
• Oversee project identification, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation at national level.
• Coordinate with UN agencies and partners to ensure strategic coherence and partnerships.
