Job summary

The Assistant Manager Tax – Pakistan at GlaxoSmithKline plc will manage direct and indirect tax compliance, filings, and governance, aligned with local laws and global policies. You will work on tax returns, audits, and tax advisory.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external advisors, prepare tax computations, and support transfer pricing documentation, ensuring timely deliveries and high-quality controls.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as CA/ACCA or MBA (Finance).
• Strong technical understanding of direct and indirect tax compliances, tax computations, reporting and advisory matters.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all statutory tax compliances are completed within required timelines, including preparation of information for tax notices.
• Prepare monthly sales tax returns for FBR, SRB and PRA, with related reconciliations and issue resolution.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and month-end tax pack activities.
• Prepare quarterly advance tax and income tax workings and support annual income tax return preparation.
• Support income tax and sales tax audits and assessments with data preparation and coordination with advisors.
• Prepare and review tax payment workings, stamp duty, withholding calculations.
• Prepare, maintain, and update transfer pricing documentation and global tax reporting deliverables.
• Prepare budget proposals and tax-related commentary for global teams.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support tax meetings.
• Provide practical tax advisory support to business teams on tax matters.
