Job summary

The Citizen Foundation is seeking a Lead / AM – HR Formal Schools to shape and deliver the HR agenda for Formal Schools. You will lead projects, partner with the Senior Manager, and drive workforce planning, organisation design, and culture initiatives across regional and school levels.

• Experience leading HR projects, especially in education
• Stakeholder management across central, regional and schools
• Data-driven HR and workforce planning insights
• Organisational design and capability building

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned workstreams that contribute to the evolution of the Regional HR structure and operating model.
• Research future Regional HR requirements and assess current versus future-state gaps.
• Define role expectations, structure and capacity requirements of Regional HR.
• Coordinate stakeholder inputs and translate findings into practical recommendations for the future operating model.
• Support the development of governance framework, accountability and decision rights across the Regional HR model.
• Map and clarify interfaces between Regional HR, Formal Schools HR and other HR teams to enable a more effective partnership.
• Support end-to-end teacher hiring process improvements, including identifying gaps and recommendations.
• Collaborate to refine teacher induction tests and interview processes aligned with hiring needs.
• Design and continuously improve teacher induction and onboarding programmes.
• Research and contribute to the design of the teacher compensation framework using market and internal insights.
• Contribute to the design of teacher career pathways and school-level succession planning.
• Support workforce planning and organisation design projects for schools, including archetypes and headcount changes.
• Contribute to organisation design interventions via analysis and stakeholder coordination.
• Design and oversee reward and recognition programs reflecting values and driving engagement.
• Lead rewards communications and recognition materials across platforms.
• Plan and execute awards for major events to showcase values and engagement.
• Build understanding of the Formal Schools programme through regular visits and field insights.
