Job summary

PITCO (Pvt) Ltd. is seeking a Geology professional to conduct geological and geomorphological investigations relevant to water resources and groundwater occurrence.

You will assess conditions, support site selection for boreholes and recharge structures, and prepare geological maps for infrastructure planning. The role requires strong field-based skills, experience with logging boreholes, GIS and geology software, and the ability to work in diverse terrains while coordinating drilling operations

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Geology or Engineering Geology or a related field.
• 8 years of professional experience in engineering geology, geological investigations, or geotechnical engineering.
• 6 years of experience in geological and geotechnical investigations for water resources, groundwater development, or water supply projects.
• Strong field-based skills, including Field Work and Geological Mapping, with demonstrated experience in diverse terrains.
• Proficiency in Logging of boreholes and cores, including lithological, structural, and geotechnical descriptions.
• Applied knowledge of Geophysics for subsurface characterization and integration of geological and geophysical data.
• Experience supervising and advising on Drilling operations, sampling protocols, and related site investigations.
• Proficiency with geological software and mapping tools (e.g., GIS, geological modeling platforms) and strong data analysis skills.

About Role Description

Conduct geological and geomorphological investigations relevant to water resources. Assess geological conditions influencing groundwater occurrence and recharge. Support site selection for boreholes, recharge structures, and water intakes. Identify geological constraints and hazards affecting infrastructure development. Prepare geological maps and technical inputs for infrastructure planning.

1. Should have knowledge about water supply pumpset and network

2. Should know how to install dipper tube in pumpset to monitor water level

3. Should have experience on parameters for water quality analysis of drinking water

4. Should have experience to fill forms in kobo tollbox

5. Should be willing work in field for next 2 months
