Job summary

Sui Southern Gas Company Limited seeks an experienced engineer to supervise instrumented operations on main pipelines and lead a team ensuring uninterrupted natural gas supply. The role emphasizes strict safety, maintenance of instrumentation systems, and active involvement in risk management.

Ideal candidates have a recognized engineering degree, PEC registration, and extensive experience in pipeline operation and maintenance, with leadership exposure.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from an HEC recognized university.
• Registration with PEC is mandatory for Engineers.
• 9+ years of relevant experience; minimum 4 years as a Functional/Team Lead.

Responsibilities

• Supervise & manage all operation and maintenance tasks on SSGC Main Pipe Lines-Instrumentation for uninterrupted natural gas supply.
• Provide technical and administrative support to pipeline section operations, including POD and SMS responsibilities.
• Ensure safe gas supply by maintaining instrumentation and controlling UFG in the Transmission Network.
• Oversee quality control checks and ensure safety and reliability of the system; mentor day-to-day meter activities.
• Lead a team of engineers across pipeline operation and integrity management of gas supply networks.
• Support development of expansion and rehabilitation plans and supervise related commissioning tasks.
• Motivate, train, and manage department staff; identify and assess risks; develop risk response strategies and report on risk management.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by senior management.

Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to supervise & manage all operation and maintenance tasks on SSGC Main Pipe Lines-Instrumentation for the smooth and uninterrupted supply of natural gas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure uninterrupted and safe gas supply with maintained pressure through maintenance of instrumentation on pipelines.
• Provide technical and administrative support on daily basis pertinent to pipeline section and assist in fabrication commissioning operations and maintenance of POD (Point Of Delivery) and SMS (Sales Meter Station) pertaining of HQ (Head Quarter)
• Ensure efficient UFG control in Transmission Network through effective instrumentation controls.
• Supervise quality control checks, ensuring the safety and effectiveness or reliability of the system and monitor, support and provide technical/ administrative guidance on day to day meters
• Manage a team of engineers involved in different activities of pipeline operation & maintenance of Integrity Management of Gas Supply in the network.
• Support uninterrupted and smooth gas supply over PODs, valve assemblies, sales metering stations and LHF (Liquid Handling Facilities)
• Support development of plans for expansion & rehabilitation of network and supervise the installation & commissioning tasks on the network related to section.
• Manage, motivate and train the department’s staff.
• Identify and assess risks under their management/ownership.
• Develop and implement risk response strategies for the risks under their management.
• Monitor risks and response strategies under their management.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information provided for risk reporting.
• Perform any other task assigned by senior management.
