Job summary

National Foods Limited, Port Qasim Plant, is seeking a Maintenance Planner to effectively plan, coordinate, and monitor maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and availability. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance planning, SAP PM management, breakdown and KPI monitoring, and shutdown planning.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering or related field with 3 years of experience.
• Or postgraduate degree with 1–2 years of experience in a relevant discipline.

Job Purpose

To effectively plan, coordinate, and monitor maintenance activities to ensure high equipment reliability, availability, and optimum maintenance performance. The role is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance planning, SAP PM management, breakdown and KPI monitoring, shutdown planning, maintenance material and procurement coordination, cost monitoring, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring timely execution and compliance with established maintenance standards and procedures.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

• Develop, maintain, and monitor annual, monthly, and weekly preventive maintenance plans.


• Coordinate planned, preventive, proactive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure timely execution.


• Prepare and monitor equipment shutdown plans and ensure maintenance activities are aligned with production requirements.


• Review PM compliance and follow up on overdue and pending maintenance activities.

SAP PM & Maintenance Data Management

• Manage SAP PM activities including maintenance notifications, service requests, PM orders, sub-orders, and technical completion of orders.


• Ensure accurate and timely recording of maintenance activities and equipment history in SAP.


• Maintain equipment master data, BOMs, maintenance plans, and related records.


• Monitor open notifications and maintenance orders and coordinate timely closure.

Breakdown & Reliability Management

• Monitor equipment breakdowns, downtime, MTTR, and MTBF to identify performance gaps.


• Analyze recurring breakdowns through RCA and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with maintenance teams.


• Maintain breakdown reports and ensure appropriate failure reasons and actions are recorded.


• Support initiatives to reduce breakdown hours and improve equipment reliability and availability.

Maintenance KPI & Performance Reporting

• Develop and maintain maintenance KPI reports and dashboards.


• Monitor PM compliance, breakdown hours, MTTR, MTBF, productivity, overtime, open notifications, and maintenance order status.


• Prepare weekly/monthly maintenance performance reports for management review.


• Track KPI goals and coordinate actions to close identified performance gaps.

Required Qualification & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering relevant discipline with 3 years of experience

Or

Postgraduate degree in relevant discipline with 1-2 years of experience
