Job summary

Rafhan Maize Products Company Ltd. in Faisalabad, Pakistan, seeks a Planning Engineer to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is planned in SAP and executed on time. You will define execution methods, estimate time/costs, and plan, supervise, and bill 3rd party contractors.

Key tasks include creating work orders, developing maintenance plans in SAP, coordinating with operations, and controlling costs within budget. ISO standards familiarity is valued.

Qualifications

• BSc/BE/BS in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical or Mechatronics with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in CMMS-SAP operations and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience in maintenance systems, operations and planning in a similar industry.
• Understanding of ISO standards.
• Exposure to P&IDs, piping plans and equipment layouts is desirable.
• Similar industry experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are desirable.
• Proactive approach towards learning and adapting new techniques.
• Strategic engineering planning to achieve plant capacity goals.

Responsibilities

• Work Order Management – prepare work orders and work packs for SAP notification.
• Work Order Management – plan duration and material availability, and ensure timely completion.
• Develop maintenance plans in SAP based on maintenance plan requirements.
• Collaborate with operations to plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor schedules for compliance and on-time delivery.
• Identify trends to improve equipment performance in efficiency and reliability.
• Prepare estimates for Capex projects and manage costs.
• Arrange materials and resources; monitor expenses per budget.
• Coordinate monthly closings with the finance department.
• Generate entry sheets and bills for contractor jobs.
• Organize gatekeeping and scheduling meetings with engineers and managers.
• Sequence operations to minimize downtime and maximize labor utilization.
• Develop new BOMs and maintenance plans in SAP; update technical data as needed.
• Create standard job plans for frequently recurring tasks.
• Maintain inventory levels and liaise with procurement on pipeline orders.
• Raise SAP purchase requisitions and external resource requests when required.
• Resolve day-to-day issues with stakeholders during maintenance execution.

Job Title: Planning Engineer Location: CWP The Planning Engineer is responsible to ensure that all Preventive and Corrective maintenance work is planned in SAP and execute before the due date. Preparation of all work by defining the most appropriate job execution method, logic, resources and estimates the required time/costs, and will also be responsible for planning, supervision, and billing of 3rd. party contractor’s jobs. Ensuring that an adequate maintenance philosophy and strategy drives the required maintenance processes and systems.

Core Responsibilities:

• Work Order Management – Responsible for the preparation of workorders and work packs for the SAP notification.
• Work Order Management – Responsible for work preparation and work duration as well as material availability.
• Work Order Management – Uses the maintenance plan requirements to develop maintenance plans in the (CMMS) SAP system.
• Work Order Management – Collaborate with operational teams to plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Work Order Management – Monitor maintenance schedules for adherence to compliance well on time.
• Work Order Management – Identify trends and improve equipment performance in terms of efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Manage Cost and Capitals – Prepare estimate for Capex project.
• Manage Cost and Capitals – Arrange material and resources to carry out the job.
• Manage Cost and Capitals – Monitoring expenses as per approved budget.

• Materials Management – Maintain Inventory levels for the required material, equipment and/or consumables.
• Materials Management – Liaison with procurement department for the status of pipeline orders.
• Materials Management – Responsible for raising SAP purchase requisitions, Store material reservations.
• Materials Management – To raise Purchase Requisitions for the external resources regarding special jobs (if no in-house expertise is available) and outsourced jobs.
• Resolving Issues – Analyzing and resolving day to day issues faced with other stake holders during execution of the maintenance activities.
• Resolving Issues – Maintaining and improving maintenance and reliability workflow processes.
• Company Safety Policies – Strict compliance of company safety policies and procedures during execution work at site and keeping complete check on contractors to observe all the safety requirements as per company policy.
• Documentation & Reporting – Preparation and reporting of documents regarding planning KPIs such as maintenance costs, weekly progress report, procurement updates, equipment ordering and delivery dates, work progress at site etc.
• Documentation & Reporting – Developing and implementing action logs and procedures to record data and document performance of all equipment, machinery, and instrumentation.

Qualified candidates will have:
