As a Shift Maintenance Lead - Mechanical, you will be responsible for eliminating maintenance- and breakdown-related losses at the lowest cost. The Maintenance Lead builds capability in Operating Teams and Equipment Owners to deliver overall line results that support the Compelling Business Needs.
Things you will be doing as a Shift Maintenance Lead - Mechanical
- Actively participate in floor Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings and execution of the daily plan
- Own Breakdown Elimination & Maintenance Planning and Scheduling (MP&S)
- Review and prioritize SAP notifications within shifts
- Improve processes to reduce/eliminate market complaints and to ensure product integrity
- Provide updates during Daily Direction Setting (DDS) on any preventive maintenance being conducted in the past 24 hours and propose PM tasks to be completed during Planned Stoppages as appropriate
- Drive breakthrough results in Planned and Unplanned Downtime
- Take necessary steps to improve machine-related GMP
- Ensure timely closure of all safety and incident-related observations on HSE portal
- Encourage shop floor staff to be creative and freely share their ideas to work on the improvement of processes.
- Continuously working on improving existing processes to make them more cost-effective
- Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) on critical breakdowns by using different tools
- To maintain a professional and well-motivated team, and to ensure succession for all key positions - through the facilitation of appropriate training and development - this includes the use of personal coaching, particularly for direct reports
What are we looking for in you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
- 3-5 years of Engineering experience in the Food or CPG/FMCG industries.
- Strong operational & manufacturing experience in the CPG industry with expertise in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), 5S, LEAN, 6 Sigma tools and concepts, Safety & GMP standards
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA safety regulations, EPA regulations, and other related codes and regulations applying to the operation of a food products factory
