Job summary

Rafhan Maize Products Company Ltd. in Faisalabad, Pakistan, is seeking a Planning Engineer to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance work is planned in SAP and executed on time.

You will define the best execution method, estimate time and costs, and plan, supervise, and bill 3rd-party contractors. Qualified candidates have a B.Sc./B.E./BS in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, plus proficiency in CMMS-SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering with 2 years relevant experience.
• Proficiency in maintenance planning and scheduling using CMMS-SAP and MS Office.
• Experience in engineering systems maintenance/OM planning; knowledge of ISO standards.
• Desirable: exposure to P&IDs, piping plans, equipment layouts, BOQs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; proactive and organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work orders and work packs for SAP notifications.
• Plan maintenance using SAP CMMS and estimate time/cost.
• Develop maintenance plans from SAP maintenance plan requirements.
• Collaborate with operations to schedule preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor schedules for compliance and on-time delivery.
• Identify trends to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Prepare cost estimates for Capex projects and manage resources.
• Organize gatekeeping and scheduling meetings with engineers and supervisors.

Job description

Job Title: Planning Engineer Location: CWP The Planning Engineer is responsible to ensure that all Preventive and Corrective maintenance work is planned in SAP and execute before the due date. Preparation of all work by defining the most appropriate job execution method, logic, resources and estimates the required time/costs, and will also be responsible for planning, supervision, and billing of 3rd. party contractor’s jobs. Ensuring that an adequate maintenance philosophy and strategy drives the required maintenance processes and systems.

Core Responsibilities:

• Work Order Management – Responsible for the preparation of workorders and work packs for the SAP notification.
• Work Order Management – Responsible for work preparation and work duration as well as material availability.
• Work Order Management – Uses the maintenance plan requirements to develop maintenance plans in the (CMMS) SAP system.
• Work Order Management – Collaborate with operational teams to plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Work Order Management – Monitor maintenance schedules for adherence to compliance well on time.
• Work Order Management – Identify trends and improve equipment performance in terms of efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Manage Cost and Capitals – Prepare estimate for Capex project.
• Manage Cost and Capitals – Arrange material and resources to carry out the job.
• Manage Cost and Capitals – Monitoring expenses as per approved budget.
• Manage Cost and Capitals – Monthly closing with coordination of finance department.
• Manage Cost and Capitals – Generate entry sheet and bill of contractor jobs.
• Planning Execution – Organizing the Gate keeping and Scheduling meetings to interface with operation principal engineers and maintenance executers in presence of line manager for strictly compliance on planning schedules.
• Planning Execution – Sequencing all operations to ensure no or little equipment downtime and high labor utilization.
• Planning Execution – Development of new BOMs and maintenance plans in SAP system.
• Planning Execution – Taking technical feedback into consideration, either update / corrects technical information in the CMMS(SAP), drawings, P&IDs, maintenance plans, etc.
• Planning Execution – Creating standard job plans of frequently reoccurring job.
• Materials Management – Maintain Inventory levels for the required material, equipment and/or consumables.
• Materials Management – Liaison with procurement department for the status of pipeline orders.
• Materials Management – Responsible for raising SAP purchase requisitions, Store material reservations.
• Materials Management – To raise Purchase Requisitions for the external resources regarding special jobs (if no in-house expertise is available) and outsourced jobs.
• Resolving Issues – Analyzing and resolving day to day issues faced with other stake holders during execution of the maintenance activities.
• Resolving Issues – Maintaining and improving maintenance and reliability workflow processes.
• Company Safety Policies – Strict compliance of company safety policies and procedures during execution work at site and keeping complete check on contractors to observe all the safety requirements as per company policy.
• Documentation & Reporting – Preparation and reporting of documents regarding planning KPIs such as maintenance costs, weekly progress report, procurement updates, equipment ordering and delivery dates, work progress at site etc.
• Documentation & Reporting – Developing and implementing action logs and procedures to record data and document performance of all equipment, machinery, and instrumentation.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Mandatory requirements – B.Sc./B.E/BS Electrical/Electronics/Chemical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Mandatory requirements – Computer skills with proficiency in maintenance planning & scheduling tools like, CMMS-SAP Operation, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook).
• Mandatory requirements – Experience in engineering systems maintenance and/or operations and maintenance planning preferable in similar industry.
• Mandatory requirements – Understanding of ISO standards.
• Desirable requirements – Exposure of P&IDs, piping plans, equipment layouts, BOQs, etc.
• Desirable requirements – Similar industry experience is preferred.
