Job summary

Hayat in Faisalabad seeks a Sr. Electrical Automation Maintenance Engineer to oversee electrical and automation maintenance across production machinery and plant systems. You will program and troubleshoot Siemens and Allen Bradley control systems, design HMIs, and drive system integration.

You will plan maintenance via SAP PM, analyze failures for permanent fixes, and coordinate with Production, Factory Management and the Global Electrical team. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5–8 years of electrical and automation maintenance experience, preferably in a multinational FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens software: SIMATIC Manager, TIA Portal, SIMOTION SCOUT, WinCC Flexible.
• Basic knowledge of Allen Bradley (RSLogix 5000) and Allen Bradley HMIs.
• Strong knowledge of SAP PM and CMMS systems.
• Specialization in Keyence vision systems is a plus.
• Strong English communication skills.

About the Role

We are looking for a Sr. Electrical Automation Maintenance Engineer to join our Electrical & Automation Maintenance team at our manufacturing plant in Faisalabad.

The role will be responsible for the reliable performance of the plant’s electrical and automation systems. This covers troubleshooting control systems, managing preventive and corrective maintenance, and guiding the technician team to reduce machine downtime.

Role Summary

As a Sr. Electrical Automation Maintenance Engineer, you will lead day-to-day electrical and automation maintenance across production machinery and plant systems. You will program and troubleshoot Siemens and Allen Bradley control systems, design HMIs, and integrate systems. You will also plan and track maintenance through SAP PM, analyse recurring failures for permanent solutions, and coordinate with Production, Factory Management and the Global Electrical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and troubleshoot Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC-based control systems, drives and electrical equipment on production machinery.
• Design and modify HMI applications and carry out system integration for new and existing equipment.
• Support and troubleshoot vision inspection systems on production lines.
• Plan and manage preventive and corrective maintenance through SAP PM, ensuring timely execution.
• Anticipate and identify technical faults before they cause breakdowns, and drive permanent solutions to recurring failures.
• Analyse failure frequency and maintain defect tracking, reporting findings and improvement recommendations to management.
• Guide and follow up on technicians’ daily work, review daily checklists and support their technical development.
• Read, develop and maintain electrical project drawings, and redesign system plans when required.
• Monitor spare parts availability and coordinate requirements and outsourced maintenance services.
• Prepare electrical and electronic technical specifications for investment projects and new equipment.
• Test electrical power and connections for newly installed equipment.
• Oversee internal and external lighting and fire control systems.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5–8 years of electrical and automation maintenance experience, preferably in a multinational FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens software, including SIMATIC Manager, TIA Portal, SIMOTION SCOUT and WinCC Flexible.
• Basic knowledge of Allen Bradley (RSLogix 5000) and Allen Bradley HMIs.
