Job summary

Bestway Cement Limited is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to oversee planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and compliance of all environmental activities at our plant sites.

You will lead GHG inventory, EMS, ESG reporting, regulatory liaison, and sustainability initiatives, while building strong teams and ensuring adherence to ISO standards and SECP disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's in Environmental Engineering/Sciences.
• 08 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience coordinating with EPA and environmental consultants.
• Willingness to travel to other plant sites.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Proficient in ESG frameworks and sustainability standards.
• Leadership and team management capability.
• Knowledge of IEE, EIA, and GEA procedures.
• Ability to operate in plant environments.
• Represent the company in regulatory hearings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and control annual environmental CAPEX and OPEX budgets, define environmental KPIs, and manage sustainability projects.
• Manage GHG inventory, ISO 14064-1 renewal, carbon footprint accounting, and carbon reduction initiatives.
• Maintain environmental data bank and documentation for ISO certifications and audits.
• Coordinate with EPA for Environmental Approvals, NOCs, inspections, and regulatory correspondence/follow-ups.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of environmental monitoring and compliance reports to regulatory authorities and corporate office.
• Explore carbon markets by compiling emission data, supporting carbon reduction calculations, and liaising with consultants and verification bodies for registration and issuance of carbon credits.
• Maintain and strengthen ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring proper documentation, SOP reviews, and continual improvement.
• Lead ESG implementation and reporting at plant level, ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability strategy, SECP disclosure requirements, and international ESG frameworks, and track environmental performance indicators for sustainability reporting.
• Assist HOD Environment in all operational environment-related affairs across all works.
• Supervise and guide environmental staff to ensure smooth departmental functioning.
