Job summary

Bestway Cement Limited in Pakistan is seeking a Health & Safety professional to implement and monitor the HSMS at the plant, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring H&S compliance with KPIs.

You will lead inductions and training, coordinate investigations, manage risk assessments and PTW systems, conduct audits and drills, and help develop SOPs and corrective actions to keep the site safe.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA or equivalent HSE certification.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct H&S induction and job-specific training for new joiners and relevant personnel.
• Report and coordinate investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses; ensure timely submission of investigation reports.
• Implement and monitor Risk Assessments (RA), Permit-to-Work (PTW) and LOTOTO systems.
• Conduct safety inspections, emergency drills and H&S audits; identify gaps and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with H&SSOPs, WIs and other safety requirements.
• Ensure timely identification, reporting and closure of unsafe acts, conditions and H&S observations.
• Coordinate safety training, toolbox talks, meetings and maintain required records.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly H&S reports and participate in performance review meetings.
• Support procurement of required H&S equipment/materials and ensure availability at site.
• Develop/review SOPs and Risk Assessments for critical activities and ensure appropriate H&S supervision.
• Support implementation of disciplinary actions for H&S violations in accordance with company policy.
• Ensure compliance with company H&S policies, procedures and applicable statutory requirements.
