Job summary

Bestway Cement Limited is seeking a seasoned Civil Department Lead to plan, execute, and maintain civil infrastructure across Plant and Colony sites. You will supervise construction activities, manage resources, ensure safety, and coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams for integrated delivery.

Candidates should have a B.Sc/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 10–12 years’ experience, strong leadership, and expertise in design interpretation and QA/QC of works.

Qualifications

• B.Sc Civil Engineering / B.Tech Civil from HEC recognized University.
• 10 to 12 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and civil design software.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, negotiation and leadership skills.
• Quick learner, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills for team management and cross-department coordination.
• Strict compliance with HSE policies and enforcement of safety measures across all projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all civil activities including masonry, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general civil works.
• Develop strategic plans, schedules, and targets for civil projects and maintenance activities.
• Allocate resources, staff, and materials efficiently to achieve objectives.
• Monitor daily progress of work across sites and ensure adherence to timelines.
• Manage development, repair, and maintenance of all civil structures, buildings, roads, and plant infrastructure.
• Approve scope of work, estimates, BoQs, rate analysis, and tender documents.
• Supervise contractor work, verify bills, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Review design drawings, IFC drawings, and ensure proper interpretation for execution.
• Coordinate with other departments (mechanical, electrical) for integrated project delivery.
• Ensure high-quality execution of civil works including masonry, concrete, plaster, flooring, tile/marble fixing, and finishing.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain standards.
• Represent Civil Department in management meetings and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor Site In-Charges, Masons, Carpenters, Plumbers, Painters, and Helpers.

• Maintain departmental records,progress reports, and communicate updates to Plant Management.
• Report damages, accidents, orcivil-related issues promptly with recommendations.
• Represent Civil Department inmanagement meetings and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor SiteIn-Charges, Masons, Carpenters, Plumbers, Painters, and Helpers.
• Conduct performance appraisals,provide training, and develop team capabilities.
• Ensure efficient work distributionand optimal use of manpower across projects.
• Perform other tasks as assigned bysenior management related to civil infrastructure and plant development.

Experience and Qualification

• B.Sc Civil Engineering / B.Tech Civil from HEC recognized University.
