Job summary

Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre (MALC) is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat children with speech, language, and swallowing-related difficulties. The role involves developing individual therapy plans and delivering both one-to-one and group sessions.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Speech-Language Pathology from an HE C-recognized university.
• Registration/certification preferred.
• Training in pediatric speech and language therapy an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing-related difficulties where applicable.
• Develop individualized speech and language therapy plans according to each child’s needs.
• Provide one-to-one and group therapy sessions.
• Work with children having speech delay, language disorders, articulation difficulties, fluency disorders, and communication challenges.
• Use appropriate therapeutic techniques and activities to improve communication skills.
• Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress and modify therapy plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate patient files, assessment reports, therapy notes, and progress records.
• Provide guidance and home-based therapy activities to parents/caregivers.
• Coordinate with Special Educators, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in case discussions, meetings, assessments, and awareness activities.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards while providing child-centered care.

Qualification

• BS/MS in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from an HEC-recognized university.
• Relevant professional registration/certification will be preferred.
• Training in pediatric speech and language therapy will be an advantage.

Experience

• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience working with children with developmental disabilities will be an advantage.
