Responsibilities
Owns end-to-end product slices across frontend, backend, workflow design, APIs, data models, and production follow-through.
Works with founders, product, design, frontend, backend, data, support, and customer experience.
Success looks like ambiguous product problems become small shipped improvements that customers can use without explanation.
About the role
- Own product problems across frontend, backend, data, workflows, and production follow-through.
- You may spend one day tightening a customer-facing interface, another reshaping an API, and another tracing a slow workflow back to the data model or background job causing it.
- Work from customer feedback, product notes, operational pain, and founder direction, then ship the simplest production-quality system that moves the company forward.
- The outcome we want is fewer handoffs, shorter feedback loops, and features that operators can actually use without explanation.
What this looks like
- A customer needs a better way to move from lead review to outreach. You clarify the workflow, design the minimal data model, build the API, ship the interface, and watch whether usage improves.
- A workflow needs three slow API calls to answer one question. You reshape the endpoint and frontend path so the product feels fast without fragile client-side stitching.
- A support pattern reveals that operators are exporting data to fix it in spreadsheets. You trace the root cause, remove unnecessary steps, and ship the in-product version of the workflow.
Where this role stops
- This is not a role for someone who only wants clean tickets.
- This is not product management by another name. You shape the slice, but you are still responsible for shipping it.
Qualifications
- Strong across at least one side of our stack, with enough range to debug product issues across boundaries.
- Care equally about UX quality, system correctness, performance, and maintainable architecture.
- Able to clarify ambiguous product problems and turn them into scoped, shipped improvements.
- Comfortable choosing the right tools for the job and moving quickly from ambiguity to shipped work.
