Job summary

Tetra Pak Pakistan in Lahore is seeking a Service Engineer (Processing) to execute preventive and corrective maintenance, improve the operational efficiency of our machines at customer sites, and modify, create, and deploy PLC software programs and HMIs for processing equipment and upgrade projects. This position is based in Lahore, Pakistan.

Extensive travel (70%) is required to customer sites, including frequent travel within Pakistan and internationally.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in installations, maintenance, automation, and service work in industrial systems.
• Extensive travel availability (70%) for short-term assignments to customer sites, including frequent travel within Pakistan and internationally.
• Hands-on expertise in automation systems with proficiency in Siemens Step7, TIA Portal, WinCC, Rockwell Studio5000, and Wonderware InTouch.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on processing machines.
• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical and automation issues including hardware, software, and network problems.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and upgrade PLC and HMI programs/software for processing equipment.
• Disassemble, reassemble, and commission Tetra Pak processing machines at customer sites.
• Promote a safe working culture within the team and ensure accurate reporting.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Service Engineer (Processing) at Tetra Pak Pakistan, who will be responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance, improving the operational efficiency of our machines at customer sites, and modifying, creating, and deploying PLC software programs and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for our processing equipment and upgrade projects.
This position is based in Lahore, Pakistan.

What you will do

• Travel to customer sites to execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for our processing machines. This will involve hands-on work on mechanical and electrical components of processing machines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electro-mechanical and automation issues, including hardware, software, and network-related problems.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and upgrade PLC and HMI programs/software using:
  • Siemens (Step7, TIA Portal HMI, PLC, WinCC SCADA)
  • Allen-Bradley (Rockwell RSLogix500 and 5000, Studio5000) + Factory Talk
  • HMI development tools such as Wonderware (InTouch), Siemens, and Allen-Bradley
• Disassemble, reassemble, and commission Tetra Pak processing machines at customer sites according to the Tetra Pak process.
• Promote a safe working culture within the team.
• Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
• Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak by maintaining good working relationships with customers and colleagues, upholding Tetra Pak's reputation at all times.
  

We believe you have

• 3+ years of relevant experience in installations, maintenance, automation, and service work, with expertise in industrial systems.
• Extensive travel availability (70%) for short-term assignments to customer sites, including frequent travel within Pakistan and internationally.
• Skilled in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting, with the ability to independently handle complex system diagnostics and repairs.
• Experienced in installations and system upgrades, ensuring smooth integration and improved system functionality.
• Hands-on expertise in automation systems with proficiency in:
  • Siemens Step7, TIA Portal, WinCC
  • Rockwell Studio5000
  • Wonderware InTouch
• Prior experience with Tetra Pak machines or working in an FMCG environment is an additional advantage.
• Previous roles: Technician, Production Engineer, and Maintenance Engineer, with comprehensive knowledge across these positions.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with international teams and customers.
