Job summary

Siemens Karachi is seeking a Senior Executive Engineer (Proposals) to drive technical and commercial proposals for Protection & Automation Solutions and switchgear. You will review RFQs, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and deliver optimized solutions for local and export projects.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in switchgear proposals.
• Interest in proposal management, tendering, and sales support.
• Knowledge of medium and low voltage systems and protection relays.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for Protection & Automation Solutions and related switchgear.
• Review RFQs, tender documents, specifications and drawings to identify requirements.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, procurement and project teams for inputs.
• Prepare cost estimates, bid documentation, compliance matrices and technical designs.
• Develop optimized technical and commercial solutions to give Siemens an edge in Pakistan and export markets.
• Maintain proposal records, support bid submissions and improve proposal processes and tools.
• Work as a team player supporting stakeholders from sales phase to handover to project execution.

You’ll make a difference by

• Being responsible for preparation of technical and commercial proposals for Protection & Automation Solutions & Products, MV Switchgear(GIS and AIS), LV Switchgear & Busways in accordance with customer requirements and Siemens standards.
• Assisting in the review of RFQs, tender documents, specifications, and drawings to identify project requirements and submission deliverables.
• Coordinating with sales, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather technical and commercial inputs for proposals.
• Preparing cost estimate, bid documentation, compliance matrices, designing technical solutions and presentations
• Think outside the box within the customer requirements / specifications and to come up with most optimized technical and commercial solution giving Siemens competitive edge over competition for projects in Pakistan & Export Market
• Maintaining proposal records, supporting bid submission activities, and contributing to continuous improvement of proposal processes and tools.
• Being a team player supporting different stakeholders of the projects at Sales Phase till successful handover of the project internally to Project execution team.
• Bachelor / Masters in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering

Your success is grounded in

• Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in Switchgear proposals, Protection & Automation Solutions or comparable technology
• Strong interest in proposal management, tendering, sales support, and project business within the infrastructure and energy sectors.
• Strong Knowledge of Medium & Low Voltages systems and Solutions, protection schemes and digital protection relays and substation equipment
• Good aptitude, high willingness, and ability to learn due to ever changing skill set requirements.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to review technical and commercial information accurately.
• Time Management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.
• Fluency in English
