Job summary

Aqovia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive development, core customization, and implementation of our EdTech and LMS platforms. You will build modular features on PHP 8.x, Laravel, and Moodle integrations, focusing on scalable multi-tenant architecture.

You will optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL schemas, implement caching with Redis, and design secure RESTful APIs and webhooks to connect SIS and local payment gateways, while upholding engineering standards and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Proven production-grade experience building, optimising, and maintaining enterprise-scale web apps with Laravel.
• Hands-on Moodle development, including custom plugins and web services.
• Strong understanding of MVC, Repository, and Event-Driven patterns.
• Advanced SQL, indexing, deadlock troubleshooting, and Redis experience.
• High accountability, problem-solving under pressure, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise, and maintain enterprise-grade EdTech/LMS platforms.
• Integrate Moodle core with custom tenant features via API/web services.
• Design multi-tenant architecture with secure data separation and permissions.
• optimise database schemas and queries, implement caching to reduce locks.
• Build secure RESTful APIs and webhooks for SIS and payments.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards.
