The role demands a hands-on leader who defines testing strategies, builds scalable automation frameworks, and ensures product quality through robust testing, performance optimization, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of QA experience across mobile & web apps.
• Minimum 1+ year in a QA leadership role.
• Hands-on with mobile automation tools like Appium and Espresso.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines.

Job Summary

HireOn is hiring on behalf of its client for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to drive quality engineering practices across mobile and web platforms. This role requires a hands-on leader who can define testing strategies, build scalable automation frameworks, and ensure high product quality through robust testing, performance optimization, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the QA team and define mobile & web testing strategies
• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans
• Design and execute regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end test cases
• Architect and maintain scalable test automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso)
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman
• Design and execute performance testing (e.g., JMeter)
• Identify, triage, and track defects; perform root cause analysis
• Monitor production quality metrics and improve testing processes
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams for quality improvements
• Contribute to organization-wide QA processes and standards
• Ensure compliance with security and accessibility standards

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in QA (mobile & web applications)
• Minimum 1+ year of experience in a QA leadership role
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Mobile automation tools (Appium, Espresso)
  • Performance testing tools (JMeter or equivalent)
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines
• Good working knowledge of AI tools such as Claude AI or similar
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and QA methodologies
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile/Scrum environments
• Knowledge of security and accessibility testing standards
• Exposure to cloud-based testing environments
