Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor PS core network utilization and capacity.
• Analyze traffic growth, forecasts, and KPI trends.
• Review end-to-end HLD/LLD for PS core products (SGSN, MME, SGW/PGW, PCRF/UPF).
• Recommend optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Support CapEx planning, budgeting, BOM, RFPs, and tenders.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams on solutions.
• Support project integration, commissioning, and new node acceptance.
• Analyze health check reports, alarms, and KPI degradation within SLA.

Job description

Huawei is looking for an experienced Senior PS Core Planning Engineer based in Islamabad, with strong experience in PS core network planning, capacity analysis, network design, optimization, and project support integration.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor network utilization, growth trends, traffic forecasting, and capacity analysis across PS core network elements.
• Understand end-to-end HLD and LLD for PS core products (SGSN, MME, SGW/PGW, PCRF/UPF).
• Recommend network optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Manage CapEx planning, budget forecasting, BOM preparation, RFPs, and technical tender evaluations.
• Coordinate with telecom vendors, contractors, and internal departments to evaluate technical solutions.
• Support project integration, commissioning, implementation, new nodes acceptance, and network safety.
• Analyze daily and weekly health check reports, degraded KPIs, and alarms within acceptable SLA limits.
• Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA), conduct Major Incident Reviews (MIR), update KEDB documentation, and support team capability building.

Skill Requirements:

• Familiarity with basic communication and data communication knowledge.
• Knowledge of EPC, 5GC, UPCC, NFV architecture, and telecom cloud solutions.
• Strong technical problem-solving, customer requirement analysis, and management capabilities.
• Effective communication with technical customers regarding technical solutions, project plans, and progress.
• Ability to ensure fast response, accurate actions, and decisions during crisis.
• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field.
• Experience Required: 3-5 years in the core network field, especially in the PS domain.
