Huawei in Islamabad is seeking an experienced Senior IMS Core Planning Engineer to join our network planning team. You will work on IMS core network planning, capacity analysis, design, optimization, and project support integration.

Responsibilities include monitoring utilization and forecasts, analyzing end-to-end IMS core product flows (SIP, Diameter, H.248), conducting RCA/MIR, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to deliver safe, scalable deployments.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years in IMS/core network domain preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IMS core nodes and interfaces.
• Experience with network design, optimization, and capacity planning.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor capacity analysis and growth trends in IMS core network elements.
• Understand end-to-end HLD/LLD for IMS core products (ATS, CSCF, SBC, DRA/STP).
• Recommend network optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to evaluate technical solutions.
• Support project integration, commissioning, implementation and new node acceptance.
• Analyze health check reports, KPIs and alarms within SLA limits.
• Provide RCA, MIR, update KEDB, and support team capability building.

Huawei is looking for an experienced Senior IMS Core Planning Engineer based in Islamabad, with strong expertise in IMS core network planning, capacity analysis, network design, optimization, and project support integration.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor network utilization, growth trends, traffic forecasting, and capacity analysis across IMS core network elements.
• Understand end-to-end HLD and LLD for IMS core products (ATS, CSCF, SBC, DRA/STP).
• Recommend network optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Manage CapEx planning, budget forecasting, BOM preparation, RFPs, and technical tender evaluations.
• Coordinate with telecom vendors, contractors, and internal departments to evaluate technical solutions.
• Ensure network safety and support project integration, commissioning, implementation, and new nodes acceptance.
• Analyze daily and weekly health check reports, degraded KPIs, and alarms within acceptable SLA limits.
• Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA), conduct Major Incident Reviews (MIR), update KEDB documentation, and support team capability building.

Skill Requirements:

• Familiarity with basic communication and data communication knowledge.
• Expert knowledge of IMS core call flows and scenarios as per 3GPP, GSMA, IEEE, and ETSI standards.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using internal/external tracing tools, Wireshark, IRIS, Tektronix, etc.
• Expert knowledge of IMS core nodes (CSC, ATS, OCS, CCF, IM-MGW, SBC, PCRF) and protocols (SIP, Diameter, H.248).
• Strong technical problem-solving, customer requirement analysis, and management capabilities.
• Effective communication with technical customers (junior to senior level) regarding technical solutions, project plans, and progress.
• Willingness to learn and grow, with the ability to ensure fast response and accurate decisions during crisis.
• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field.
• Experience Required: 5+ years in the core network field, especially in the IMS domain.
