Job summary

Beijing Foreign Enterprise Management Consultants Co.,Ltd. in Islamabad is seeking an experienced IMS Core Planning Engineer to lead capacity analysis, network design, and optimization for IMS core networks. The role requires hands-on planning across ATS, CSCF, SBC, and DRA/STP.

You will monitor utilization, forecast traffic, coordinate with vendors (Huawei, Nokia, ZTE, Ericsson), support project integration, and respond swiftly during crises while continuously learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field.
• 3–5 years in the core network domain, particularly IMS.
• Strong knowledge of IMS core call flows per 3GPP/GSMA/IEEE/ETSI.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and project teams.
• Excellent troubleshooting and network optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network utilization, growth trends, traffic forecasting, and capacity analysis across IMS core network elements.
• Understand end-to-end HLD and LLD for IMS core products (ATS, CSCF, SBC & DRA/STP).
• Recommend network optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Coordinate with telecom vendors (Huawei, Nokia, ZTE, Ericsson), contractors, and internal departments to evaluate vendor proposals and recommend optimal technical solutions.
• Take responsibility for network safety.
• Support project integration, commissioning, implementation, and new nodes acceptance.
• Ensure fast response, accurate actions, and decisions during crisis, with willingness to learn and grow.

One of the leading Chinese technology companies is looking for an experienced IMS Core Planning Engineer based in Islamabad, with strong experience in IMS core network planning, capacity analysis, network design, optimization, and project support integration.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor network utilization, growth trends, traffic forecasting, and capacity analysis across IMS core network elements.


• Understand end-to-end HLD and LLD for IMS core products (ATS, CSCF, SBC & DRA/STP).


• Recommend network optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality.

Skill Requirements:

• Familiarity with basic communication and data communication knowledge.


• Expert knowledge of IMS core call flows and scenarios as per 3GPP, GSMA, IEEE, and ETSI standards.


• Strong troubleshooting skills using internal/external tracing tools, Wireshark, IRIS, Tektronix, etc.


• Expert knowledge of IMS core nodes (CSC, ATS, OCS, CCF, IM-MGW, SBC, PCRF) and protocols (SIP, Diameter, H.248).


• Strong customer requirement analysis, management, and technical problem-solving capabilities.
  
• Effective communication with technical customers (mid-level) regarding technical solutions, project plans, and progress.


• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field.


• Experience Required: 3–5 years in the core network field, especially in the IMS domain.
