Game District in Lahore, Pakistan seeks a Senior QA Engineer to own the QA lifecycle for mobile games, from test planning to release validation. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and product teams to improve game quality, player experience, and release stability across multiple titles.

The role emphasizes test planning, manual and automated testing, and strong ownership of quality gates before releases in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of QA experience, preferably in mobile gaming.
• Hands-on experience testing live games or apps with frequent releases.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for mobile games (functional, regression, smoke, exploratory).
• Create detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
• Perform manual testing across Android and iOS devices.
• Validate game features, mechanics, UI/UX, and performance.
• Identify, log, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, ClickUp, or TestRail.
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure timely bug resolution.
• Prioritize issues based on severity, impact, and player experience.
• Act as a quality gatekeeper before releases.
• Contribute to or maintain automation frameworks for regression testing.
• Work with Appium, Selenium, or Unity Test Framework.
• Improve QA efficiency through automation and tooling.
• Test game performance across different devices, OS versions, and network conditions.
• Identify memory leaks, crashes, and FPS drops.
• Ensure smooth gameplay on low to mid-tier devices.
• Support live game releases, updates, and events.
• Perform post-release validation and monitor live issues.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to identify quality gaps from player data.
• Work closely with Game Designers, Developers, and Product Managers.
• Provide feedback on gameplay, usability, and player experience.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
