Job summary

Devsinc is seeking a Software QA Engineer in Lahore to safeguard software quality through manual and exploratory testing. You will design and execute test cases, log defects, and collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure releases meet requirements.

The role emphasizes SDLC/STLC understanding, agile processes, and cross-functional teamwork to continuously improve QA practices and tooling.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
1–2 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment, with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
Verify bug fixes and ensure software quality before release.
Participate in test planning, requirement analysis, and sprint activities.
Prepare and maintain test documentation, test scenarios, and test reports.
Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing where applicable.
Assist in improving QA processes, testing strategies, and automation practices.
Ensure software applications meet quality standards and business requirements.
