Job summary

CTG is seeking a logistics professional to support WFP operations in Pakistan. The role involves developing logistics plans, overseeing procurement and shipping activities, and providing data-driven insights to improve efficiency in food assistance delivery.

The candidate will analyze data, perform budget reviews, and support capacity building across the CO. Strong English and local language skills are required, with experience in humanitarian or commercial transport sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or humanitarian transportation sectors (essential).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Asia (essential).
• Advanced degree in Transport Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Management, Mathematics or related field (essential).
• First university degree with additional years of related work experience (essential).
• Professional certification in SCM (Supply Chain Management) (desirable).
• Fluent in English (essential).
• Fluent in local language(s) (essential).

Responsibilities

• Contribute towards development of logistics plans and processes ensuring compliance with wider logistics policies and WFP standards.
• Support or manage logistics projects or operational activities following standard processes to deliver food assistance to beneficiaries.
• Collect and analyse data through research and networking with colleagues to recommend actions to senior staff to improve performance of local logistics operations.
• Conduct regular financial analysis and budget reviews, drawing insights and actions to senior staff to optimise funds.
• Contribute to operational pipeline planning and management of procurement, shipping, port operation, and related logistics services.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other units/ divisions for emergency response.
• Guide and supervise junior staff as a point of referral and to support complex analyses.
• Collate data and prepare timely reporting including KPIs for a WFP-wide view of logistics activities.
