S&P Global is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead enterprise-scale ELT/ETL pipelines using Informatica Cloud and Snowflake. You will enforce governance, ensure data quality, and mentor engineers while collaborating across business and technology teams.

The role emphasizes architecture, data security, encryption, and advanced SQL optimization in a cloud-first environment. Located in Islamabad, Pakistan, with opportunities to shape data strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years in data engineering.
• 5+ years with Informatica Cloud (IICS) including Mappings, Data Integration, and API management.
• 5+ years Snowflake in data engineering, including Streams, Tasks, UDFs, and external functions.
• Expert-level SQL with complex window functions, CTEs, recursive queries, and Snowflake optimizations (zero-copy cloning, time travel).
• Experience implementing data governance policies and security frameworks (Collibra/Alation or native Snowflake).
• Understanding of encryption (AES-256), KMS key management, and secure data sharing.
• Strong Python skills for data transformation, automation, and API integration.
• Proven track record designing enterprise system integrations for data interoperability.
• Knowledge of lakehouse architecture and data product development.
• Excellent cross-team communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design of enterprise-scale data systems for robust, scalable data architecture.
• Lead ELT/ETL pipelines using Informatica Cloud (IICS) to Snowflake with data quality and transformation standards.
• Architect and enforce data governance, including data lineage and metadata management, compliance (GDPR/CCPA/SOC 2).
• Design and audit RBAC/ABAC security within Snowflake for secure data environments.
• Establish data security protocols: dynamic masking, row-level security, encryption at rest/in transit in Snowflake.
• Perform SQL optimization and tuning in Snowflake (streams, tasks, materialized views, clustering).
• Mentor junior/mid engineers on Snowflake optimization, Informatica development, and secure data handling.
• Leverage cloud technologies to optimize data operations and performance.
• Collaborate with business/tech teams for effective communication and delivery.
• Manage large-scale data projects from inception to completion.
