Job summary

Jaffer Business Systems (JBS) in Pakistan is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer for a 3-month contract. The role centers on Snowflake, data pipelines, and full-stack/AI-ML oriented background, with onsite night shift 7PM-3AM.

You will design, build, and optimize scalable data workflows, collaborate with engineering and product teams, and ensure data quality, performance, and cost efficiency while working in a fast-paced contract environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Strong SQL and relational database concepts.
• Data pipelines, data transformation, data modeling, and data workflows.
• Professional background in Full-Stack Development or AI/ML Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data models, tables, views, and data pipelines using Snowflake.
• Develop and optimize robust data workflows to support business, application, and machine learning requirements.
• Leverage Snowflake expertise to manage data for efficient storage, processing, and consumption.
• Bridge application development or machine learning workflows with data infrastructure and engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ingest, transform, process, and serve data.
• Develop and maintain reliable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data workflows.
• Monitor and optimize Snowflake query performance, compute utilization, and data storage costs.
• Identify opportunities to improve data architecture, pipeline efficiency, and overall system performance.
• Support data workflows related to Full-Stack apps and AI/ML models.
