Job summary

Indus Hospital is seeking a Senior Biomedical Engineer for the Clinical Laboratory to oversee maintenance and reliability of medical equipment in the Clinical Laboratories. The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and a Biomedical Engineering degree.

The incumbent will troubleshoot complex equipment issues, lead junior engineers, and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely maintenance and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering.
• Minimum 04-06 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve breakdowns and technical issues related to medical equipment, ensuring timely restoration of functionality.
• Independently perform assigned technical activities and provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to junior engineers.
• Plan and execute preventive and periodic maintenance of medical equipment, including development and monitoring of PPM schedules.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors/service providers regarding maintenance contracts, outsourced services, and timely completion of scheduled maintenance.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain effective documentation and communication regarding equipment maintenance, environmental conditions, pending jobs, and other technical activities; travel to off-campus locations as required.
