Biomedical Engineer (Specialized in Radiology / Laboratory Equipment)

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all medical equipment are properly maintained, calibrated, and repaired, which includes regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and addressing any faulty equipment.
• Perform calibration and testing of medical devices to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
• Available on-call to provide immediate assistance and troubleshoot issues during odd hours to ensure patient safety.
• Responsible to install and set up new medical equipment and provision of training to staff to operate and maintain the equipment.
• Keep track of the hospital’s medical equipment inventory, including records of equipment usage, repairs and replacement.
• Ensure that all medical devices and equipment in the hospital comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Closely work with the Clinical departments in ISO Audits.
• Follow quality control processes and protocols to ensure that medical devices meet safety and performance standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BS/BE in Biomedical Engineering with 7 to 10 years of related work experience.
• Skilled Biomedical Engineer with expertise in radiology equipment / laboratory equipment.
• Strong Problem Solving and Analytical skills.
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in the use of MS Excel. ERP working experience will be an added advantage.
