Job summary

Mashreq is seeking an experienced Audit in Charge to lead a small/medium Internal Audit team. You will execute the audit plan, deliver high‑quality reports, and validate action plans across Wholesale Credit Risk and regulatory domains while building strong senior management relationships.

You will apply advanced analytics and technology to auditing, supervise exams, and ensure timely, objective, and well‑communicated results that protect the bank's interests.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA or equivalent credential required.
• Experience in Business Analytics and Risk Management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Wholesale Credit Risk Management concepts.
• High lending, analytical and judgment skills across industries and countries.
• Senior level Internal Audit or Wholesale Credit Risk experience with delivering multiple high‑quality deliverables.
• Experience leading teams and delivering integrated internal audit and assurance.
• Effective negotiation, proactive communication with minimal surprises.
• Articulate communicator, both written and spoken; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Offsite/Onsite Review functions to identify risks early.
• Ensure reviews comply with policies, parameters, and timelines.
• Assess credits, assign risk ratings, and surface risks timely.
• Officially manage exams as Audit in Charge within budget.
• Develop strong relationships with line management for acceptance of findings.
• Provide recommendations to improve processes to safeguard the bank.
• Coach and guide the team during onsite and offsite exams.
• Maintain effective communication to achieve review objectives.
