Job summary

Nysonian Inc. is seeking a lead engineer to own the design and production operation of agentic AI systems end-to-end. You’ll manage models, orchestration, tool calls, guardrails, and the cloud infrastructure that powers a commerce platform and internal CRM.

This builder role emphasizes architectural ownership over prompts, multi-model routing, reliability, cost and latency engineering, and production readiness across AWS, MERN stack, and integrations with Shopify, ShipHero, and other systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building and operating production software with ownership of post-deploy behavior.
• Strong AWS including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, queues; GPU workloads are a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD, IaC, logging and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship multi-agent systems with orchestrator/worker patterns and human-in-the-loop escalation.
• Build and maintain the tool layer: MCP servers, tool-calling schemas, and integrations (Shopify GraphQL, ShipHero, Gorgias, Klaviyo).
• Run a multi-model stack; route between models based on cost and latency; evaluate new releases in production.
• Own guardrails and safety: hallucination checks, output validation, and data handling safeguards.
• Build evaluation and observability: datasets, regression suites, and dashboards to prove improvements before shipping.
