Job summary

Systems Limited is seeking an experienced software/AI architect focused on agentic, multi-agent systems. You will define architectures, governance, and memory designs for long-running agents, coordinating with security, governance, and platform teams.

You will mentor engineers, defend decisions under client scrutiny, and drive ADRs and documentation to ensure clear, actionable designs across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years in software/AI architecture with focus on agentic systems.
• 2+ years in agentic/multi-agent systems.
• Deep knowledge of agent orchestration frameworks and failure modes.
• Experience designing memory architectures for long-running agents.
• Familiarity with agent evaluation methodologies and benchmarking.
• Working knowledge of guardrail/governance tooling for agentic systems.
• Ability to defend architecture decisions under adversarial client scrutiny.
• Writes clear ADRs and architecture documentation readable by engineers and executives.
• Experience mentoring/leading a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Design multi-agent architectures—roles, coordination patterns, handoffs.
• Own agentic workflow design: task decomposition, tool-calling, memory/state management.
• Define guardrails: tool-use permissions, kill switches, escalation paths.
• Architect the evaluation framework for agentic systems with QA/AI Assurance.
• Lead technical design reviews for agent-based solutions before builds.
• Design fallback and human-in-the-loop patterns for high-stakes decisions.
• Mentor GenAI Engineers on architecture patterns and reviews.
• Present risk/benefit tradeoffs to client technical and business stakeholders.
• Own architecture governance across the practice.
• Facilitate cross-team design reviews with Security, Governance, and Platform Engineering.
