Game District is seeking a Senior 2D Artist to lead mobile game artwork from concept to production. You will craft polished 2D characters, environments, props, UI assets, and icons, ensuring consistency across assets and visual styles for mobile platforms.

You will collaborate with designers, developers, and other artists to deliver high-quality visuals. AI-assisted workflows and mentoring junior artists are part of the role in an onsite Lahore environment.

Qualificações

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and digital art fundamentals.
• Proven ability to create 2D artwork for mobile games.
• Solid understanding of composition, color theory, lighting, perspective, anatomy, and storytelling.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior 2D Artist with strong experience in mobile game art and a solid understanding of visual design, composition, and production workflows. The ideal candidate should be able to create polished, engaging, and game-ready artwork while maintaining consistency across different assets and visual styles.

You will work closely with Game Designers, Developers, and other Artists to bring game concepts to life and ensure high-quality visual execution across mobile games.

Key Responsibilities

• Create polished 2D characters, environments, props, UI assets, icons, and other game-ready artwork.
• Maintain a consistent art style, visual quality, readability, and composition across mobile screens.
• Translate game concepts and design requirements into visually appealing production-ready assets.
• Collaborate closely with Game Designers, Developers, and other Artists to deliver assets according to project requirements.
• Ensure artwork is properly organized, optimized, and prepared for integration into the game.
• Review artwork and provide constructive feedback to maintain quality and consistency.
• Mentor and guide junior artists, helping them improve their artistic and production skills.
• Manage priorities and deadlines while delivering high-quality work within production timelines.
• Adapt artwork based on feedback while maintaining the overall visual direction of the game.
• Explore and incorporate AI-assisted workflows to improve concept development, asset variations, and production efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and a solid understanding of digital art fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of composition, color theory, lighting, perspective, anatomy, and visual storytelling.
• Proven experience creating 2D artwork for mobile games.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating polished mobile-game artwork and production experience.
• Good understanding of mobile game art requirements, including visual readability at different screen sizes.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.
• Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior artists is preferred.

AI Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of AI-assisted art workflows for concept development and production.
• Ability to write effective prompts and use reference-guided generation for concepts and asset variations.
• Experience with inpainting, background extension, selective editing, and image upscaling.
• Ability to manually correct and refine AI-generated outputs while preserving approved proportions, anatomy, composition, and art style.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Photoshop/Firefly, or similar AI-powered tools.
• Experience with ComfyUI is a plus.
• Ability to combine AI-generated outputs with traditional digital art skills to produce polished, production-ready assets.
