Job summary

Game District in Lahore is seeking a creative and detail-oriented 2D Artist for our mobile game development team. You will create high-quality 2D assets—characters, environments, props, icons, and UI elements—that align with our art style and vision.

You will collaborate with designers, developers, and animators, optimize artwork for mobile performance, follow art pipelines, and iterate on feedback to meet production timelines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, perspective, lighting and color theory.
• Familiarity with mobile game art pipelines and asset optimization.

• Create high-quality 2D art assets for mobile games, including characters, environments, props, icons, and UI elements.
• Follow and maintain the game’s art style and visual guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with game designers, developers, and animators to ensure smooth integration of assets.
• Optimize artwork for mobile platforms considering resolution, memory, and performance constraints.
• Participate in concept development and brainstorming for new game ideas.
• Iterate on feedback quickly to meet production timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar digital art tools.
• Good understanding of anatomy, perspective, lighting, and color theory.
• Knowledge of mobile game art pipelines and asset optimization.
• Ability to adapt to different art styles (casual, semi-realistic, cartoon, etc.).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience working on shipped mobile games.
• Basic knowledge of animation or Spine/Unity integration.
• Familiarity with UI/UX design for games.
• Understanding of game engines like Unity.
