Job summary

Game District in Lahore, Pakistan is seeking an Art Lead – 3D Generalist to spearhead the visual development of mobile games from concept through production.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on 3D art expertise with leadership to ensure a high-quality, visually engaging style while optimizing assets for mobile performance.

You will mentor artists, collaborate with designers and developers, and own the 3D art pipeline across projects to deliver polished, market-ready assets.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of professional experience in 3D art, game art, or a related production role.
• At least 2 years in a Senior 3D Artist, Lead Artist, or Art Lead role.
• Experience in the gaming industry, preferably mobile gaming.
• Proven work on games released on App Store / Google Play.
• Hands-on experience creating game-ready 3D assets from concept through final implementation.
• Experience with Unity-based production pipelines and collaboration with developers.
• Strong experience optimizing 3D assets for mobile devices (polygon budgets, textures, materials, draw calls, LODs).
• Experience establishing or improving art pipelines, workflows, quality standards, and asset production processes.
• Mentorship and feedback to junior/mid artists in art direction.
• Experience across visual styles: stylized, casual, hyper-casual, realistic, or semi-realistic mobile art.
• Ownership of visual direction from pre-production through launch preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the art direction for mobile game projects from concept through production.
• Define and maintain the overall visual style, quality bar, and artistic consistency across projects.
• Create high-quality 3D characters, environments, props, assets, and game-ready models.
• Oversee the complete 3D pipeline: Modeling, Sculpting, Texturing, UVs, Lighting, Materials, Shaders, Rigging, Animation, Rendering, Optimization.
• Review artwork and provide clear, constructive feedback.
• Mentor and support 3D artists to improve technical and artistic capabilities.
• Assign, prioritize, and monitor art tasks to meet quality and timelines.
• Collaborate with Game Designers, Developers, Animators, UI/UX, Producers, and Product teams.
• Convert concepts into engaging visual experiences; optimize assets for mobile.
