Job summary

Translation Empire PK is seeking a Saraiki Interpreter and Translator based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad to work onsite across healthcare, legal, education, immigration and refugee services. The role involves interpreting from the source language into Saraiki and vice versa with accuracy. Requirements include fluency in English and Saraiki, a BS/MS in English Language/ELT/TESOL, IELTS with 6.5 overall and 6.0 in each subtest, and the willingness to sign a surety bond and NDA.

• Any other interpreting related qualification.
• Must sign a surety bond.

We are currently recruiting for Saraiki interpreters and Translators based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad to work within various settings such as the health care, Legal, Educational, Immigration & Refugee services etc.

The Job

Interpreting involves listening to, understanding and memorizing content in the original ‘source' language, then reproducing the speech into the ‘target' language with 100% accuracy.

You will

• Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
• Check the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence
• Conference, consecutive and public service interpreting
• Dealing with highly confidential information
• Liaise between the service user and service provider

Requirements

• Fluent in English or another language
• BS/MS Degree in English Language, Literature, English Language Teaching (ELT) or TESOL
• Any other interpreting related qualification
• Must hold an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) certificate with an overall band score of 6.5, including a minimum of 6.0 in each individual subtest (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking)
• You will be required to sign and agree to a surety bond
• You will be required to sign and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement
