Job summary

Translation Empire PK is seeking Urdu interpreters and translators based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad to work across health care, legal, educational, immigration and refugee services. Interpreting involves listening to source content, reproducing speech in Urdu with accuracy, and liaising between service users and providers.

Candidates should have IELTS with a total band of 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in each module) and a degree in English language or related field.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English or another language.
• IELTS certificate with an overall band score of 6.5, including a minimum of 6.0 in each subtest.
• BS/MS Degree in English Language, Literature, ELT or TESOL.
• Any other interpreting related qualification.

We are currently recruiting for Urdu interpreters and Translators based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad to work within various settings such as the health care, Legal, Educational, Immigration & Refugee services etc.

The Job:

Interpreting involves listening to, understanding and memorizing content in the original 'source' language, then reproducing the speech into the 'target' language with 100% accuracy.

You will:

• Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
• Check the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence
• Conference, consecutive and public service interpreting
• Dealing with highly confidential information
• Liaise between the service user and service provider

Requirements:

• Fluent in English or another language
• BS/MS Degree in English Language, Literature, English Language Teaching (ELT) or TESOL
• Any other interpreting related qualification
• Must hold an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) certificate with an overall band score of 6.5, including a minimum of 6.0 in each individual subtest (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking)
• You will be required to sign and agree to a surety bond
• You will be required to sign and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement
