Job summary

Translation Empire PK is recruiting Pashto interpreters and translators based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad to serve health care, legal, educational, immigration and refugee services. The role involves interpreting across settings with focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

You will interpret for non-English speakers in legal, health and local government contexts, ensure understanding after each sentence, and perform conference, consecutive and public service interpreting onsite at DHA Sector F

Qualifications

• Fluent in English or another language.
• BS/MS Degree in English Language, Literature, ELT or TESOL.
• IELTS certificate with overall band score 6.5, minimum 6.0 in each subtest (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking).
• Must sign a surety bond and a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Responsibilities

• Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services.
• Check the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence.
• Conference, consecutive and public service interpreting.
• Dealing with highly confidential information.
• Liaise between the service user and service provider.

We are currently recruiting for Pashto interpreters and Translators based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad to work within various settings such as the health care, Legal, Educational, Immigration & Refugee services etc.

The Job:

Interpreting involves listening to, understanding and memorizing content in the original ‘source' language, then reproducing the speech into the ‘target' language with 100% accuracy.

You will:

• Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
• Check the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence
• Conference, consecutive and public service interpreting
• Dealing with highly confidential information
• Liaise between the service user and service provider

Requirements

• Fluent in English or another language
• BS/MS Degree in English Language, Literature, English Language Teaching (ELT) or TESOL
• Any other interpreting related qualification
• Must hold an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) certificate with an overall band score of 6.5, including a minimum of 6.0 in each individual subtest (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking)
• You will be required to sign and agree to a surety bond
• You will be required to sign and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement
