Job summary

Pak-Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO) invites an experienced SAP ABAP Developer (Contractual) to lead design and delivery across S/4HANA landscapes. The role requires hands-on ABAP development, SAP Fiori UI5, RAP, CDS, and integration with REST APIs, while guiding a development team and collaborating with business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years of ABAP experience, strong leadership, and familiarity with SAP BTP CAP, AMDP, and OData services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Gateway, REST APIs, and integration concepts.
• Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization.
• Familiarity with transport management, testing, and deployment processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of ABAP developers, ensuring adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications using SAP BTP CAP with Node.js and/or Java.
• Architect and implement applications using SAP RAP (Managed and Unmanaged scenarios) and ABAP Cloud principles.
• Develop and enhance SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and backend OData services.
• Create and optimize CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, APIs, BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, Enhancements, BADIs, and User Exits.
• Perform code reviews, technical design reviews, and ensure development quality and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Support SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, upgrades, and digital transformation programs.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Prepare technical specifications, solution designs, and development documentation.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced ABAP Developer to lead the design, development, and delivery of SAP solutions across S/4HANA landscapes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern ABAP development, SAP Fiori, RAP (Managed and Unmanaged), and advanced technical architecture, while providing leadership to the development team and collaborating closely with business and functional stakeholders.

Qualification and Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Gateway, REST APIs, and integration concepts.
• Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization.
• Familiarity with transport management, testing, and deployment processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience:

• 6+ years of SAP ABAP experience with proven leadership responsibility.

• SAP S/4HANA Development
• RAP (Managed & Unmanaged Implementation)
• CDS Views and CDS View Entities
• AMDP and SQL Performance Optimization

• Adobe Forms
• Hands-on experience with ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and ABAP Cloud development.

Job Responsibilities:

Specific Skills:

• SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP for SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with SAP BTP, Business Application Studio, and Extension Suite.
• Experience working with an SAP implementation partner firm will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of Clean Core principles and SAP side-by-side extensions.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to SAP Build, Workflow Management, and Event-Driven Architectures
