Job summary

PARCO Pearl Gas (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of Pak-Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO), seeks a Customer Engineering Technician with hands-on experience installing, maintaining and commissioning LPG and industrial piping systems. DAE in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical is required, with up to 8 years of relevant experience.

Role involves field installation, calibration of regulators and valves, site surveys, and coordination with customers and contractors while adhering to safety norms and regulatory

Qualifications

• DAE required in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical fields.
• 6+ years experience preferred in large orgs or EPC/projects.
• Hands-on piping, LPG storage, tanks, vaporizers and PRV handling.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test and commission LPG, natural gas or industrial piping systems for commercial/industrial customers.
• Install LPG/Gas/Petroleum storage tanks, vaporizers, manifolds, regulators, safety relief valves and related piping.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, piping layouts and isometric drawings for field execution.
• Perform hydrostatic/pneumatic testing, leak tests, purging and commissioning of LPG installations.
• Maintain preventive maintenance, troubleshoot LPG equipment and assist with after-sales support.
• Coordinate site surveys and installation activities with customers/contractors while ensuring safety.

Job description

PARCO is seeking applications for the Customer Engineering Technician position for its 100% owned subsidiary PARCO Pearl Gas (Pvt) Ltd. PPGL is the largest LPG marketing company in Pakistan having countrywide presence.

Qualification:

• DAE Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical.

Experience:

• Upto 8 years with 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within a large national or multinational organisation or at EPC/Projects/Construction companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning of LPG, natural gas or industrial piping systems serving commercial and industrial customers.
• Experience in installation of LPG/Gas/Petroleum storage tanks, vaporizers, pressure reducing stations, manifolds, regulators, safety relief valves, gas meters and associated piping systems.
• Practical knowledge of carbon steel and stainless-steel piping, threaded, flanged and welded joints, pipe supports, valves and fittings.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping layouts, isometric drawings and mechanical installation drawings for field execution.
• Experience in hydrostatic/pneumatic pressure testing, leak testing, purging, commissioning and performance verification of LPG installations.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of LPG equipment including regulators, vaporizers, PRVs, pumps and instrumentation.
• Experience in conducting site surveys, preparing material requirements and coordinating installation activities with customers and contractors.
• Knowledge of Permit-to-Work systems, Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), confined space awareness, hot work requirements and HSE procedures applicable to hazardous areas.
• Experience in customer complaint resolution, emergency response and after-sales technical support.
• Ability to prepare installation reports, inspection checklists, commissioning records and maintenance documentation.
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards such as NFPA 58, ASME, API, local gas safety regulations and company SOPs would be an advantage.
