Job summary

Motive is seeking a Business Strategy & Operations Analyst II to partner with Sales and GTM leaders. You will own recurring business rhythms end-to-end, build automation to scale those rhythms, and bring a data-driven point of view to leadership.

You will replace manual work with AI agents and scripted pipelines, and drive decisions by analyzing pipeline, forecast, and productivity data with defensible recommendations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, business intelligence, or business strategy.
• SQL (mandatory): write and debug warehouse queries with joins, window functions, CTEs, and aggregations.
• Spreadsheet and CRM depth (mandatory): Advanced Google Sheets, Salesforce objects, fields, and reports.
• AI and automation building (core): shipped automation using Glean, n8n, Apps Script, or similar; Python a plus.
• Analytical judgment to structure vague requests and defend assumptions.
• Excellent communication to translate a data model for non-technical leaders.
• Ownership and cross-team collaboration with high accuracy.
• Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, Data Science, Economics, Engineering; advanced degrees a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring business reviews and support weekly/quarterly cadence for your unit.
• Build automation to replace manual work; ship AI agents and scripted data pipelines.
• Analyze pipeline, funnel, forecast, and productivity data with actionable recommendations.
• Support territory planning, account assignment, and capacity planning with sales leaders.
• Track quota, targets, and KPIs with clear definitions for executive scrutiny.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to fix root causes and improve data quality.
• Maintain data integrity with QA baked into all shipped solutions.
