Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a Release Train Engineer to coordinate Agile Release Train activities across multiple teams. The role drives SAFe practices, removes impediments, and ensures on-time delivery of platform software components with strong collaboration between Product, Architecture and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of agile experience, 2+ years as an RTE, and proficiency with SAFe, Azure DevOps, Jira or Rally.

Qualifications

5+ years of agile experience for a software development team, diligently applying Scrum principles.
2+ years of direct experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE), launching and running Program Increments in SAFe.

Responsibilities

Facilitate ART events (PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt) to ensure alignment and delivery of platform engineering solutions.
Coordinate and manage dependencies across multiple agile teams delivering platform software components.
Drive continuous improvement by removing impediments and bottlenecks across the release train.
Collaborate with Product Management and Architecture to align the platform roadmap and feasibility of features.
Coach teams and stakeholders on SAFe practices and foster collaboration and delivery excellence.
Monitor and report ART metrics, progress, and business value to leadership.
