Job summary

induscon is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer (Civil) for highway/transport projects. You will inspect sites, collect condition data for design reviews, assess pavement damages, and approve contractor programs, drawings, and setting out works. Prepare reports and certify progress payments while maintaining records and diaries.

Ideal candidates hold a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, preferably an MSc in Highway/Transportation Engineering, with 8–10 years in relevant experience and 10–15 years

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering is required; MSc in Highway/Transportation preferred.
• 10–15 years overall field experience with 8–10 years in relevant highway projects.
• Experience as a Resident Engineer or similar role is essential.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Inspect the site and collect the condition data for the design review and necessary changes if any.
• Provide details about existing pavement, damages and assessment.
• Approval of contractor’s work program, method statements, material sources, etc.
• Preparing and issuing reports as defined subsequently.
• Review and recommend approval and/or issuing working drawings, approval of the setting out of the works, and instruction to the contractor.
• Taking measurements and keep measurement records.
• Maintaining records, correspondence, and diaries.
• Certifying work volume and recommending interim certificates for progress payments.
• To proceed & implement the project as per specifications & Contracts.

Qualification: B.Sc. (Civil Engineering) preferably M.Sc. (Highway / Transportation Engineering).

General Exp: 10 - 15 years

Relevant Exp: Proven 08-10 years of relevant experience including experience as a Resident Engineer.
