Job summary

INDUSCON in Pakistan is seeking a Slope Stabilization Expert to support the design and layout of retaining structures, ensuring adherence to geotechnical conditions on highway projects.

The candidate should hold a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or an MSc in Geology with geo-tech emphasis, with 7–12 years of relevant experience including asphalt mix design and field testing, and familiarity with AASHTO/ASTM/NHA standards.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or M.Sc. in Geology with geo-tech emphasis.
• 10–12 years general exp, 7–10 years as Slope Stabilization Expert on highway projects.
• Experience with asphalt concrete mix design in hot climate and truck overloading contexts; field testing and road pavement formation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and layout of retaining walls, breast walls and slope stabilization measures per geotechnical conditions.
• Supervise construction to ensure compliance with AASHTO/ASTM/NHA standards and conduct field testing.

Job description

Responsibilities:

Slop Stabilization Expert will assist and ensure that the design, lay out and requirement of retaining walls, breast walls, other retaining structures, and slope stability/ slide control measures are as per the geotechnical conditions.

Qualification:

B.Sc. (Civil Engineering) / M.Sc. (Geology) preferably Masters in Geo-Tech Engineering.

Experience:

General Exp: 10 – 12 yearsRelevant Exp: 07- 10 years as Slope Stabilization Expert on construction supervision projects of National Highways involves asphalt concrete mix design in countries with hot climate and/or truck overloading problems including having experience to control testing at site, material testing and road pavement formation and other all related including construction concrete and activities highway embankment formation. He should have good command on internal and structure code closure e.g. AASHTO, ASTM and specification and standard of NHA along with field testing, concern Asphalts related all testing and mix design.
