Job summary

Smart Working is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to strengthen security, reliability, and scalability of an AI-powered patent search and analytics platform used by enterprises, law firms, and universities. You will drive secure-by-design engineering, ensure compliance, and enable fast, reliable software delivery.

You will work with modern cloud technologies, infrastructure automation, containerization, observability platforms, and security frameworks in a fast-growing product environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevSecOps or related roles.
• 5+ years overall DevOps/DevSecOps experience.
• Strong AWS experience including ECS and EKS.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Kubernetes/Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation; security/compliance knowledge (SOC 2 and ISO 27001).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen AWS infrastructure, including ECS and EKS, supporting the platform.
• Own automated tests and validation checks ensuring ongoing compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Identify and flag security compliance issues while collaborating with engineering.
• Embed security thinking throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Improve security, reliability, and scalability of platform infrastructure.
• Deliver infrastructure solutions independently with minimal oversight.
• Collaborate with software engineers to enable secure-by-design delivery.
• Make sound technical decisions and iterate quickly.
• Take ownership of infrastructure initiatives and long-term stability.
