Job summary

KAIZEN Asset Management Services is seeking a Project Accountant for a remote role to oversee budgets, perform financial analyses, and report project status across multiple property management initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and at least 3 years in project accounting, with strong Excel skills and knowledge of accounting principles. Real estate exposure is a plus, and you will join a collaborative, results-driven team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting or related finance role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to project management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project budget forecasts, actuals, and variance analyses.
• Monitor project expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
• Review and approve invoices and ensure timely payment to suppliers and contractors.
• Prepare monthly financial reports on project performance for management review.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Collaborate with project managers to provide insights on cost control and financial planning.
• Ensure that all financial activities align with company policies and accounting standards.
• Perform reconciliations of project accounts as necessary.
• Support the senior finance team in ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation for audit purposes.
