Job summary

Colab is seeking an Accounts & Finance Manager to lead end-to-end accounting and finance functions, including payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting. The role emphasizes strong controls, cost optimization, and strategic financial planning from a remote position limited to Karachi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting/finance, with experience managing finance operations.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Hands-on experience with payroll, cash flow management, AP/AR, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of tax and statutory compliance requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and accounting/ERP software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage confidential financial information.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial information to management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple financial priorities within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, GL, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities and accurate books.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing and payroll reporting.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital management.
• Prepare department budgets and monitor variances against approvals.
• Provide financial insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain organized financial records for audits and compliance.
• Present annual financial reports and key insights to management.
