Assembly Industries in Pakistan is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for assigned clients, MSP partners, and contingent workers. You will handle the full payroll lifecycle from setup to reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with wage, hour and tax rules.

The role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years payroll processing experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a client-first approach.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced MS Office, especially Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP).
• Ability to learn payroll applications and timekeeping systems quickly.
• Discretion in handling confidential information.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with EOR, MSP, VMS, HRIS or multi-state payroll is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time using timekeeping and payroll systems.
• Audit payroll data and resolve discrepancies or processing errors.
• Set up and maintain employee assignments to support payroll and client billing.
• Serve as primary payroll contact for clients, MSP partners, and contingent workers.
• Apply federal, state, and local employment rules, wage, hour, and tax withholding requirements.
• Investigate payroll issues and coordinate with internal teams for discrepancy reports and audits.
• Maintain payroll records, client trackers, census reports, and audit-ready documentation.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen payroll processes and service quality.
