Job summary

Pixalate is seeking a PhD-level AI Engineer to lead cutting-edge research in agentic AI systems, multimodal analysis, and advanced reasoning architectures. You will design and optimize cloud infrastructure, work across AWS and GCP, and contribute to production systems from Lahore, Pakistan, with a flexible remote/hybrid setup.

The role requires deep problem solving, collaboration with engineering teams, and comfort in U.S. time zones for meetings.

Qualifications

• - Extremely strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• - Excellent interpersonal skills.
• - Prior experience working alongside an Engineering team developing and supporting a complicated technical product.
• - Fundamental basic networking troubleshooting skills
• - Responsiveness in terms of connectivity, responding to alerts, or inquiries via Slack
• - Mobile phone with Slack installed to be carried at all times (provided by Pixalate)
• - Coding/Scripting knowledge a big plus
• - Comfortable with working some U.S timezone - team meetings etc.

Responsibilities

• - Configure and fine-tune the cloud infrastructure and monitor cloud services.
• - Improve resources for governance, budgeting, and reporting.
• - Understand metrics for AWS and GCP utilization and create alarms.
• - Upgrade software, patch kernels, disaster recovery and backups.
• - Maintain CI environment and support production applications.
• - Own release process across all environments.
• - Investigate and solve production issues.
• - Maintain pipelines and health.
