Job summary

BrainsLogic in Lahore is seeking a detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience to ensure bug-free, high-quality software. You will design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web applications, working closely with senior engineers and product teams to deliver reliable software.

You will perform functional, regression, UI, and API testing, and collaborate with developers to maintain robust QA processes across the SDLC.

Qualifications

Job Description:

We're looking for a detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience who takes pride in shipping bug-free, high-quality products and can spot the issues others miss. You'll design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions and ensure the quality of our web applications through both manual and automated testing — working closely with senior developers and product teams to deliver reliable software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, write, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases/scripts
• Execute test cases and analyze results
• Perform functional, regression, UI, and API testing
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman and REST APIs
• Identify, document, and track bugs effectively using tools like Jira
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and project managers
• Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks
• Participate in code reviews and QA processes
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Automation QA (web applications)
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)
• Strong understanding of SDLC & STLC
• Strong knowledge of testing concepts and methodologies
• Experience with API testing (Postman, REST APIs)
• Familiarity with a programming language (Python, JavaScript, or Java)
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools like Jira
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and reporting skills

Preferred Skills:
